About Me

I am a Midwestern transplant currently living in Southern California and attending medical school.  When I am not busy studying (or when I am procrastinating), I enjoy reading and writing about urban and infrastructure developments, urban policy, architecture, and EDM music. The tracks you will find on this blog comprise the ever-changing soundtrack to my life, and it is my hope that at least some of these tracks can find a place in the soundtrack to your life.

  1. Hi EDM student,

2 months ago I stumbled upon your website by accident and got blasted away by both the similarity in music taste and way of experiencing and describing it in like for example steps of deep slumber. When I saw that you’re also a medical student I got even more enthusiastic. I’m a dutch med in my final (6th year). Ever since I’ve pinned your site and have been checking for updates. Unfortunately you seem to have taken a break. I’m looking forward to your next update!

    All the best

    1. Hey there! Thanks for the comment and I glad you enjoy the selection of music. It has been a few months since my last post as things got a bit hectic with school. I am in my final year as well and have been interviewing for residency programs. I don’t know how the Dutch system works, but in the US we all have to do further training. Hopefully I will have some fresh posts for you sooner rather than later.

Best of luck with the remainder of your year and congrats for making it through. As a fellow med student, I know how taxing it can be.
